"Venezuelan Rebels" in Antioquia --- An Interview

There has been a recent event in Santa Fe de Antioquia. We have interviewed a local for information of the event.

Interviewer: “Can you please tell us what happened that night.”

Local: “Yes, so it was late at night, after the sun has set. I was closing shop at that time when these five men, all dressed in black, suddenly ran into the town square. I just thought they were hurrying off to somewhere, but then they stopped right there [pointing at the fountain in the square] and each of them raised a stick into the air. Only when I heard the loud explosions, did I realise they were guns.”

Interviewer: “ They just shot their guns?”

Local: “Oh no, they were also shouting ‘Viva la Venezuela,’ ‘Freedom for Venezuela, Freedom for Paez’ while shooting the guns. We were of course scared and dropped on the ground. By the time the gunshots ended, they had already left.”

Interviewer: “So they were Venezuelans then?”

Local: “Well, I have friends from Venezuela and strangely enough, they didn’t sound Venezuelan at all. They sounded local in fact. More than that, I caught a quick glance at their arm and they seem to have a tattoo ‘Liberte, Egalite, Loyal’ on there.

Interviewer: “Thank you for receiving the interview.”
