Political Leaflet circling the Country
The following leaflet is making the rounds in political circles and bars alike. It details the establishment of a conservative party, a statement of goals and how to join the party. Notably, distribution has been pushed disproportionately in strongly liberal areas, which might have helped spark the debate. Since the leaflet is in high demand, information has been passed on by word of mouth and there is the risk of false information being published. Here at Le Nueva Granada we accuracy of information very seriously und therefore have decided to reprint the pamphlet below:

ESTABLISHMENT OF
THE CONSERVATIVE PARTY
Today begins a new era for the People of Gran Columbia. The CONSERVATIVE PARTY will be established under the leadership of General Juan Garcia Del Rio. The initiative would not have been possible if not for the support garnered by you, the public, to uphold our values. Liberals with their feet above ground are feeding nonsensical facts into the minds of the citizens of this nation. Reject liberalism and remember your roots. These new ideas offer you nothing, we must stand together to solidify the future of our nation as a UNITED OPPOSITION.
Remember our values:
- The power of a constitution over dictatorship.
- Legality against violent methods.
- Christian morality and its civilized doctrine over newfound ideals of immorality and the corrupt doctrine of atheism and materialism.
- Rational liberty over despotism.
- Legal equality above academic, as well as aristocratic privileges and religious tolerance.
- Private property and its protection over socialism and communism.
- Prioritizing security.
- Civilization over barbaric methods
Functions of the party are as follows-
- Membership is open to any and all citizen aligned with our morals.
- Senior officers will be elected democratically, including the president and vice president, with elections held every 2 years.
- Voters must possess real property amounting to 100 pesos.
Once the Ocana Constitution is set in place, we will work together to represent our people.
Today, you will fight for your values.
Today, you have the power to choose your future and that of your children.
Today, you shall rally for the greater good of your Nation.
