The Crimes of The Church
Eduarda Vivanco
I have been hired by Jose Tadeo Monagas to investigate the church and their wrongdoings in this country. After close investigation I will here present my findings:
Despite close investigation I have not found evidence for criminal activity within the church. What I have found is much worse. It is not simply the blunt abhorrence of misaligning your actions with a code of law. No! It is the brutish and ruthless malice with which the trust invested in the church by those who it swears to protect is spat on, tainted and finally made null.
Trust is the one thing in a man’s heart that to destroy is the most selfish of sin. The people of this country, trusting, loyal and kind are being manipulated by an international institution that exploits their simple minds and little faculties.
The wars of independence have had their toll on this country. While this has rendered politicians unable to levy taxes and therefore made it incredibly hard to fund the liberal and direly needed changes for this country.
Still, the church shows NO remorse!
They continue to take and take! They dig into your purses like poisonous worms infesting an already depleted soil. And what do we do to pests? Why do we let them thrive? All this could be justified. It could be endurable if only it were for a cause! But I cry out to you: It is not!
In my investigation I have seen what the money is spent on and I assure you: it is not you. It is Rome! The bright golden palaces and courtyards of the oh-so-holy city are enough to blind this entire country and I promise they will if they are not being stopped soon. We are funding the golden spoon that feeds our oppressor!
The church must be destroyed. So much is clear. But how can we rid ourselves of this parasite that has befallen the hearts and heads of this good people? When one is sick, one needs treatment. In this fashion we must treat our people. When a child is given medicine it writhes and struggles and claims force and violence. But it is because it is sick that it does not know what is best for it. This is why we must force the church out of this country. The golden hearts of the people will writhe and struggle and claim force but this is because they are sick. But we must save them.
So, we must use force. This will come at a cost but the end will be worth it. If we must end the democratic ideals temporarily to save them in the long run, then so be it. If Bolivar must become the dictator to end all dictatorship then so be it.
Some might say that this is tyranny. We say that this is benevolent and enlightened governance and for the ultimate good of the people.
